About the project
About UnifiedACB
UnifiedACB is an independent educational project that brings published anticholinergic medication scores together in one place so they are easier to find, compare and understand.
What is anticholinergic burden?
Anticholinergic burden describes the total anticholinergic effect from one or more medicines. Different research groups have created different scoring systems. They can give the same medicine different scores, and some may not include a medicine at all.
What does UnifiedACB do?
UnifiedACB gathers published medication scores from different anticholinergic burden sources in one searchable place. It does not merge them into a new score.
Instead, it shows what each source reported so users can see where the sources agree, where they differ, and when a medicine was not included.
What can you do here?
- Ask UnifiedACB about a medicine and see what the available published sources report.
- Compare medicines side by side across the published sources available in UnifiedACB.
- Browse the Medication Library to open individual medication pages and review their published scores.
- Read Articles for educational summaries about anticholinergic burden and related clinical topics.
How should the results be read?
UnifiedACB keeps the original published scores separate. If two sources give a medicine different scores, both are shown.
A published score of 0 is different from a medicine that was not listed in a source. UnifiedACB keeps those situations separate.
UnifiedACB is an educational evidence resource. It should not be used by itself to start, stop or change a medicine.
